Experience

Kaleigh Ruegsegger, LPC has worked with a number of parents and children to help children heal, grow, and thrive despite their mental health challenges. Kaleigh uses a play-based approach to help children learn to handle their big emotions in their little bodies. Kaleigh also works with parents to help them continue their child's growth outside of the counseling space.

Anxiety

Kaleigh helps children with anxiety through teaching children to name their feelings, regulate their emotions, develop coping skills, and use play to process difficult emotions or experiences.

Life Transitions

Is your child moving homes? Starting a new school? Going through any other major change in their lives? Kaleigh is adept at helping children navigate changes from a place of strength and resilience.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Kaleigh treats OCD through the use of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), blending in mindfulness strategies to help regulate emotions. Kaleigh recognizes that there are unique challenges to navigating OCD, and is prepared to help your child navigate those challenges.

Trauma

Kaleigh is familiar with the developmental effects of unprocessed trauma at a young age. She helps children process traumatic experiences through play. Through play-based therapy, children process their difficult emotions and learn to regain a sense of safety, trust and control in a safe, child-centered environment.
